What causes knee pain?

Knee pain can stem from ligament injuries (ACL, MCL tears), meniscus tears, patellar tendinitis, osteoarthritis, bursitis, IT band syndrome, and post-surgical complications. Biomechanical issues in the hip, ankle, or foot can also contribute. Our evaluation looks beyond the knee itself to identify movement pattern dysfunctions throughout the lower extremity.

Can knee pain be treated without surgery?

Many knee conditions respond well to conservative treatment. Our approach includes targeted rehabilitation exercises, manual therapy, shockwave therapy for tendon and ligament healing, gait correction, and sport-specific training for athletes. Even conditions like meniscus tears and early-stage ACL injuries can often be managed non-surgically with the right rehabilitation program.

How does shockwave therapy help knee pain?

Shockwave therapy (ESWT) delivers acoustic pressure waves to damaged tissue, stimulating the body natural healing response. For knee conditions like patellar tendinitis, IT band syndrome, and early arthritis, shockwave therapy promotes new blood vessel formation, reduces inflammation, and stimulates tissue regeneration.
